FYC is looking forward to this much-awaited opportunity to meet again in person. A trip packed with sessions led by Patrick and other visiting choral specialists to learn and consolidate repertoire, the Braeside Residential Centre provides us with opportunities to enjoy fun activities other than singing! We shall finish with an informal concert in the town of Devizes.
FYC is delighted and honoured to have been invited to take part in the Barnsley International Youth Choir Festival hosted by our friends at the world famous Barnsley Youth Choir from Thursday 29th July to Sun August 1st 2021. We all very much hope government restrictions are such that we can travel to South Yorkshire; if not the event will still take place virtually.
We are delighted to have been invited by the Farnham Maltings to perform a selection of FYC repertoire in this event, which will be the first time the FYC Senior Choir has performed together in over a year!
This is a free, ticketed performance which will take place in a marquee on the front lawn as part of a pilot project by house theatre- 'towns alive'.
The marquee will be on the lawn outside the Maltings from the 22 to the 25 July 2021. It will then go ‘on tour’ to four additional venues in the south east/east, and each venue will programme the tent with activity that celebrates their venue and town including performances and workshops.

FYC accompanist, Matthew Rickard, will be staying on during the afternoon to provide some musical accompaniment to the afternoon tea, which will be served in the marquee from 2.00pm. If you would like to stay for this and to find out more about other events taking place in the marquee, go to:

In light of the government's announcement on Monday about the delay in easing restrictions, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our FYC Summer Concert.
If you would like to donate your ticket costs to FYC then please email treasurer@fyc.org.uk before 26 June with the name of the person who booked the tickets. Refunds will be processed as soon as possible from 28 June.
Farnham Youth Choir is a charity and ongoing restrictions around singing and performing have been, and continue to be, financially & emotionally challenging for the choir and our brilliant music team. We are truly grateful to everyone who supports us and we look forward to performing for you again as soon as we are able.
Thank you for your support.
