Songs of love, beauty and the passing of time performed by the UK's flagship International upper voice ensemble: medieval - classical - folk - contemporary
FYC is delighted to bring the UK’s premier all-female acapella quintet to Farnham. After a recent appearance on BBC Radio 3, Sarah Walker called their voices ‘extraordinary’ and Katie Derham said, ‘I had a bit of a goosebump moment there... that was absolutely beautiful, crunchy harmonies. Loved that!’ The performance will include two world premieres, one composed by Michael Higgins and the other by Liz Dilnot Johnson.
Each choir will perform separately as well as in a combined performance.
FYC will sing for the annual Civic Carol Service in the beautiful, St Andrew’s Church.
This event is for invited guests only but some tickets will be made available for the public via a ballot in the Farnham Herald in November. More details to follow.

All the forces of choirs, orchestra, tenor soloist and the beloved Royal Albert Hall organ come together for an epic performance.

To launch the 2022–2023 season, Guildford Choral returns to G Live on Saturday October 22nd with a spectacular concert featuring Orff - Carmina Burana and the world première of a new work commissioned from composer Owain Park for the choir through the generosity of the Friends of Guildford Choral Society.

As part of their summer tour, our Senior Choir will stop off to sing ‘Sea Shores’ to Mary Anning’s newly erected statue in Lyme Regis. ‘Sea Shores’ makes up one third of the FYC commissioned ‘Herstory’ song cycle (written by our composer in residence for 2022, Russell Hepplewhite, with librettist Helen Eastman) that celebrates brilliant women from history. The other women celebrated are Caroline Herschel in ‘Comet Crazy’ and Katherine Johnson in ‘In the Numbers’. This is an open air performance and will therefore be weather dependent.
As part of our summer tour, the Senior Choir will be performing a free concert at the picturesque St Mylor Church, near Falmouth.
