An upper-voice choir of girls in school years 5 and above, mainly from the area around Farnham. Conducted by Jo McNally.

The choir aims to provide a foundation of good singing technique and introduce youngsters to the fun and commitment of performing in a high quality choir. Many choir members successfully for the Youth Choir.

FYC Girls have participated successfully in local competitions, regularly feature in local concerts and occasionally travel further afield. On two occasions FYC Girls have also reached the finals of the Children’s Choir of the Year competition.

Entry is by audition, normally in June, for entry the following September. Girls can be accepted at other times by arrangement with the conductor.

Rehearsals take place weekly on Wednesdays for 1 ½ hours during term time at Frensham Heights School in Farnham, starting at 5:15pm. Half-termly weekend training afternoons are also held.
