In July 2006 FYC were one of only three choirs from Great Britain in the Fourth World Choir Games, held in Xiamen, China.
They won gold awards in the first round, in two categories and silver medals in each category in the finals.
The tour also took in Beijing and Shanghai with performances culminating in a concert in the forbidden City Concert Hall.
